From Fire To AI: CMD Upendrra Rai Explains Civilisation And Warns Against Mental Stagnation

Upendrra Rai, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Express News Network, delivered a compelling address at the annual function of Kashi Prasad Singh Intermediate College in Prayagraj. The discourse examined human civilisation and sharply evaluated contemporary societal inertia.

CMD Upendrra Rai outlined nearly 3,00,000 years of human evolution. The address structured civilisation into twelve distinct phases, ranging from the discovery of fire to the present artificial intelligence era.

The narrative emphasised that the invention of fire marked humanity’s most transformative breakthrough, liberating early humans from fear and enabling communication and collective living.

The address highlighted how progress has accelerated dramatically. Developments that once required centuries now occur within days, reflecting unprecedented technological advancement.

CMD Upendrra Rai expressed concern over societal rigidity. The observation noted that while nature evolves dynamically, human behaviour often remains static.

The comparison, however, illustrated that even forests adapt over time, yet individuals resist change.

The address asserted that modern youth possess physical vitality but lack intellectual courage. The reluctance to explore uncertainty and embrace innovation was identified as a critical weakness.

The analysis underscored that fear of the unknown restricts growth and limits potential.

Drawing upon philosophical thought, including Sardar Purn Singh’s ideas, CMD Upendrra Rai stated that true modernity arises from elevated consciousness rather than social status or position. The address stressed that societies abandoning risk inevitably decline.

Students were urged to move beyond comfort zones. The library was presented not merely as an academic resource but as a gateway to intellectual expansion.

The message concluded with a call for bold thinking and global awareness.
