Freshly Sworn Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Kick Starts Tenure With Signing Of Two Files

Revanth Reddy took charge of the chair of Telangana Chief Minister (CM) on Thursday and in no time, he signed two files. One of those files was to implement poll guarantees and the other one was to provide job to a disabled woman.

According to party head Mallikarjun Kharge’s post on X, the Congress has pledged six guarantees in its campaign manifesto for the Telangana Assembly Election 2023 that will “help realise the dream of Bangaru Telangana”.

These six guarantees were categorised as “Mahalakshmi”, “Rythu Bharosa”, “Gruha Jyothi”, “Indiramma Indlu”, “Yuva Vikasam” and “Cheyutha”. Where, Mahalakshmi was to offer  ₹2,500 every month; Gas cylinders for ₹500 and Free travel in RTC buses.

Rythu Bharosa was to offer ₹15,000 per acre for farmers, tenant farmers every year; ₹12,000 per year for agriculture labour and Bonus of ₹500 per year for paddy crop. Under the scheme Gruha Jyothi, Congress promised to provide 200 units of free electricity to every household.

250 sq yards’ plot is offered to all Telangana movement fighters under Indiramma Indlu along with house site and ₹5 lakh for people not having their own house. Yuha Vikasam offers Vidya Bharosa card worth ₹5 lakh for students and setting up of Telangana International Schools in every mandal. ₹4,000 monthly pension for senior citizens is provided under Cheyutha guarantee. In addition to this, it comes with ₹10 lakh under the Rajiv Arogyasri insurance.

Telangana state elections 2023

On November 30, Telangana’s 119 assembly seats were up for election. On December 3, the election results were announced. After passing the halfway point in the ballot, the Congress won 64 of the 119 seats available in the state. The BRS secured 39 seats, with the BJP securing eight and the AIMIM securing seven seats. One seat went to the CPI.
