“Fought For Country In Kargil War… But Couldn’t Save His Wife,” Manipur Victim’s Husband Sobs In A Video

The entire country was outraged by Manipur’s savagery towards the two Kuki women. Two women are exhibited naked in the popular video. There was tremendous criticism of the incident after the video of it became popular. The police acted swiftly and detained four people, including the primary suspect in this heinous assault, when the public began calling for the hanging of these barbarians.

The husband of one of the two victims’ suffering also burst into tears at the same time. The woman’s husband apologised for the entire situation, saying, “I protected the nation, but I was unable to protect my wife from being humiliated.”

On Wednesday, the video of this incident, which involved Kuki women and occurred on May 4, came to light, and as a result, it began to receive criticism around the nation. People are outraged over this act of violence against women and began calling for the government to take quick action.

One of the two women in the viral video has a spouse who was a Subedar in the Indian Army’s Assam Regiment. The victim’s husband told a news outlet, “I served my country in the Kargil War and was also stationed in Sri Lanka as a member of the Indian Peace Keeping Force. I safeguarded the nation, but I regret not being able to do the same for my house, my wife, and my peasant neighbours once I retired. I feel down and melancholy.

The victim’s husband claimed that on the morning of May 4, a mob set fire to many nearby homes before stripping the two women naked and compelling them to walk in public on village trails.
The ex-serviceman claimed, “The cops were here, but they did nothing. I demand that everyone who set houses on fire and degraded women receive harsh punishment. Let us inform you that four persons were detained on Thursday, one day after the release of this video.
