“Firecrackers and Currency Throwing”: Ghaziabad Police Arrest Men for Disruptive Birthday Celebration

In recent events in Ghaziabad, the local police arrested three individuals after a video went viral, depicting them engaged in extravagant and disruptive behavior during a birthday celebration. The incident occurred in the Rajnagar Extension area of Ghaziabad, with the video initially posted on the X social media platform (formerly Twitter) by the apartment owners’ association.

The video in question shows the three men standing on the roof of a car within an apartment complex, where they were enjoying fireworks and throwing currency notes into the air. This ostentatious display of celebration caught the attention of the authorities, leading to legal action.

Nandgram Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ravi Kumar Singh commented on the situation, stating that the youth had used objectionable language and caused disturbance in the area, resulting in their arrest. A case was registered based on the video evidence, and the legal process was set in motion.

The 24-second clip not only shows the three individuals indulging in their festivities but also captures them in a heated argument with residents of the apartment complex. A police car is visible in the background, indicating the presence of law enforcement during this event.

This incident is not isolated, as earlier in the year, another viral video showcased a group of individuals in luxury cars, openly displaying firearms and consuming alcohol in the middle of the road. The video was recorded on an elevated road in Ghaziabad under the jurisdiction of the Indirapuram police station. The individuals involved brandished rifles and played loud music from their vehicles.

In May 2023, yet another incident gained attention when a dispute over a parking space escalated into a physical altercation involving ten men in an apartment complex in Indirapuram. CCTV footage of this confrontation spread on social media, leading the Ghaziabad Police to take action and arrest three individuals in connection with the incident. These incidents highlight the importance of monitoring and addressing disruptive behavior and public disturbances in the area.
