Fire Engulfs Delhi’s Narela Industrial Unit; 10 Fire Engines Mobilised

A major fire engulfed a factory in Delhi’s Narela Industrial Area on Thursday morning, triggering an extensive firefighting operation.

Officials said the Delhi Fire Department received an emergency call at 9:05 AM.

Fire crews rushed to the location with 10 fire engines and began efforts to contain the flames.

Authorities have yet to establish what caused the fire. They have also not confirmed any casualties.

Investigators are examining the incident to determine its cause. Officials are expected to provide further information as the operation progresses.

The Narela incident comes shortly after a deadly blaze at a shoe manufacturing unit in Delhi’s Mangolpuri Industrial Area, which claimed four lives and left two people seriously injured.

The fire erupted at the factory in Phase I at approximately 9:30 PM on October 30. Officials reported the deaths the following day.

Police personnel, firefighters and emergency responders reached the premises after authorities received information about the incident.

Fire crews battled the flames for several hours before bringing the blaze under control. Rescue personnel subsequently evacuated six people from inside the building.

Officials said all six victims were unconscious when rescuers found them.

Outer District DCP Vikram Singh said police teams reached the factory promptly and assisted in the initial response before firefighters began the rescue operation.

Emergency personnel transported all six victims to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital for medical attention.

Doctors pronounced four victims dead upon arrival, while medical teams admitted the remaining two for treatment.

DCP Singh confirmed that police had initiated legal proceedings in connection with the incident.

He also stated that authorities were pursuing the accused and expected to apprehend them soon.
