Nirmala Sitharaman praises CM Yogi Adityanath
Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, speaking at the inauguration of the Direct Tax Bhawan in Gorakhpur district, commended the commendable efforts of Chief Minister Yogi. She humorously addressed her repetition of the term “dynamic,” emphasizing Yogi Ji’s tireless presence across Uttar Pradesh’s 75 districts.
She noted that with 52 weeks in a year, the Chief Minister manages to visit each district at least once, if not twice, likening his relentless engagement to the continuous motion of an engine. Highlighting the challenge of securing an appointment in Lucknow, she suggested it’s more practical to catch him in whichever district he happens to be in. She applauded Yogi Adityanath’s dynamic leadership, underscoring his commitment to ensuring every district serves as a headquarters for development initiatives.
During the event, it was announced that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would lay the foundation stone for 20 development projects, collectively valued at ₹1,040 crore. Notable among these projects is a residential colony to be constructed by the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) in Kalesar.
However, the CM’s scheduled two-day visit to Gorakhpur was shortened, leading to the postponement of the launch of constructions for 141 smart classrooms to a later date, as confirmed by the CM’s camp office at Goraknath temple.
Additionally, the CM is slated to lay the foundation stone for a 300 crore international plastic recycling unit. Subsequently, both the CM and the finance minister are set to depart for Maharajganj.
