Police also said that the man is still at large.
The incident happened in Pali district’s Siryari village on Tuesday night. Nirma Meghwal (32) was the deceased, and Shivlal Meghwal (57) was the accused.
The accused had been living apart from his family in Gujarat for a considerable amount of time, according to the police. According to police, preliminary investigations show that the accused felt his daughter was to blame for family strife, which is why he committed the crime.

Nirma and her husband, who resided in Gandhidham, Gujarat, came to Pali to attend a wedding, police said. As Nirma and her younger sister were arriving at her in-laws’ home, her father Shivlal asked them to go with her since he was heading somewhere. After that, Nirma rode a motorbike with her father and young son.
Then, according to police, he pretended to forget his phone and asked his younger daughter to wait while he continued with Nirma to a remote location where he allegedly slashed her throat and sprinkled petrol on her body before setting it on fire.

Meghwal’s other daughter noticed blood on his hand when he returned, so she called the villagers, who in turn informed the police after finding Nirma’s partially burned body, according to the police.
The body has been found, according to the police, and the suspect is being sought out.
