The Farmers who are campaigning at the Shambhu and Khanauri border points gathered at a number of borders to commemorate the 100 days of the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march.

Farmers have been protesting since February 13 when their ‘Delhi Chalo’ march was stopped by security personnels.

Farmers are protesting to exert pressure on the central government to accept their demands including a legal guarantee of MSP for crops.

Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee leader Sarwan Singh informed news agency PTI that farmers gathered at Khanauri, Dawali, and Shmbhu border points for the occasion marking 100 days of their march.

Condemning the presence of heavy security forces at the protest sites in Punjab and Haryana, Sarwan Singh said that the central government is preventing the farmers from heading towards Delhi to continue their protest.

People in Punjab are protesting against BJP candidates as they go to campaign for ongoing elections. Farmers show the black flag to the BJP leaders and ask them questions regarding the legal guarantee of minimum support price on crops.

The ‘Delhi Chalo’ march by farmers is headed by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha(Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha. They are protesting to press the government to accept their demand for a legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price among others.
