Days after CM Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest, the Enforcement Directorate on Saturday summoned Delhi Transport Minister and AAP leader Kailash Gahlot.
As per reports, the probe agency has summoned Gahlot for questioning in its ongoing money laundering case linked to Delhi excise policy.
The agency has asked Gahlot to appear and record his statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
This is the first time that the federal agency has summoned Gahlot.
The party is yet to comment on the new development related to Gahlot’s summoning.
The development follows the arrest of CM Arvind Kejriwal by the ED in the same case on 21st March.
Earlier on Friday, AAP leader and Delhi Minister Gopal Rai stated that several prominent leaders from the INDIA alliance will participate in a rally. The rally will take place at Ramlila Maidan on 31st March.
Hindu Sena on Friday filed a fresh petition in the Delhi HC to remove Kejriwal from the post of CM.
Meanwhile, a protest will be held by the INDIA bloc outside the BJP headquarters on Sunday. Congress, AAP, and the Left parties will participate in the demonstration.
