Elvish Yadav was detained by the Noida Police on Sunday in relation to the snake venom case and was subsequently remanded to 14-day judicial custody. The YouTuber and winner of Bigg Boss OTT2, Elvish, was summoned by the police for further interrogation regarding the case, and following the questioning, he was taken into custody. A circulating video purportedly depicts the moment of Elvish’s interaction with the police, purportedly capturing his arrest, which has gained traction on social media.
Six individuals, including Elvish Yadav, have been implicated under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120A of the Indian Penal Code for their purported role in providing snake venom for a party held in Noida’s Sector 51. The party, which was later revealed to be a sting operation orchestrated by Maneka Gandhi’s People for Animals, led to the arrest of the other five individuals earlier. Authorities are probing Elvish’s involvement in the procurement of snakes for such events.
Forensic examination has confirmed the presence of venom from cobra and krait species in samples seized from the said party. People for Animals, to uncover the exploitation of rare animals, conducted a sting operation and enlisted Elvish Yadav’s help based on a tip-off regarding his alleged network involved in such activities. According to the complaint, Elvish facilitated by providing contacts who ultimately arranged for snake venom. Elvish had been known to feature snakes in his videos.

Despite facing multiple rounds of questioning, Elvish vehemently denied all allegations against him.
During the party in question, which took place on November 3 of the previous year at a banquet hall in Noida Sector 51, Elvish was not present. However, nine snakes were discovered at the event, all of which had their venom glands removed. Additionally, eight out of the nine snakes were found to be missing their teeth.
This arrest comes on the heels of another controversy involving Elvish Yadav. A video depicting him physically assaulting fellow YouTuber Maxtern, also known as Sagar Thakur, went viral, resulting in an FIR being filed against Elvish in Gurugram. Elvish later issued a statement explaining the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
