In the bustling electoral fervor sweeping across the nation, including the capital Lucknow, Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr Rajeshwar Singh, along with Mohanlalganj Lok Sabha constituency BJP candidate Kaushal Kishore, conducted a Havan and worshipped Lord Ganesh at the election office in Sarojini Nagar, encompassing both urban and rural areas.
Scheduled for May 20th, the 5th phase of the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections will witness voting in Lucknow and Mohanlalganj Lok Sabha constituencies. Notably, the SP and BSP have fielded their candidates in Mohanlalganj, while the BJP has reaffirmed its trust in incumbent MP and Union Minister of State, Kaushal Kishore. The BJP candidates are actively advancing their election campaign, with Kaushal Kishore inaugurating the Sarojini Nagar Assembly Constituency Central Election Offices (both rural and urban segments) on Sunday.
Dr Rajeshwar Singh underscored the ideological underpinnings of the ongoing electoral battle, framing it as a clash between the ethos of nationhood and family-centric ideologies. He emphasized the distinction between proponents of Ram temple construction and those with affiliations to Babar’s tomb and Ghazipur. Further, he characterized the contest as one between supporters of traditional values and those aligned with ideologies detrimental to them, including opposition to the removal of Article 370.
Praising the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Dr Rajeshwar Singh highlighted significant achievements such as the abrogation of Article 370, ushering in peace in Kashmir, and welfare measures for farmers and vulnerable populations. He rallied BJP workers, describing them as the backbone of the party and urging them to mobilize voters effectively.
Additionally, Dr. Singh regularly organizes ‘Your MLA – Aapke Dwar’ public hearing camps to address villagers’ concerns and inform them about developmental initiatives. The recent camp in Ibrahimganj saw discussions on various issues, with assurances from Dr Singh’s team regarding resolution and information dissemination about ongoing schemes.
The event witnessed the presence of key BJP figures including District President Vinay Pratap Singh, former Minister of State Virendra Tiwari, and several party officials and workers, reaffirming the BJP’s commitment to grassroots engagement and electoral success.
