Education, Unity Take Centre Stage As RSS Leader Indresh Kumar Meets Bihar Governor Lt Gen Ata Hasnain

A high-level delegation led by senior RSS leader and patron of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM), Dr Indresh Kumar, met the Governor of Bihar, Lt Gen Syed Ata Hasnain (Retd), at Raj Bhavan in Patna on Friday.

The 17 April 2026 meeting focused on pressing national issues, educational upliftment, and collaborative nation-building initiatives.

The delegation included the officiating Chairman of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (NCMEI), Professor (Dr) Shahid Akhter, Colonel Tahir Mustafa who is National Convenor of the Intellectual Wing; responsible for academic and intellectual discourse, empowerment, and harmony towards national development throughout the country, and several other dignitaries.

Professor Akhter, who previously served as Chairman of the Jharkhand State Minorities Commission, is a vocal advocate for protecting constitutional rights to education for minority communities.

Colonel Mustafa, a decorated Indian Army officer who assumed his role at Jamia Hamdard in July 2025, is known for his expertise in strategic planning and administrative acumen.

Participants described the conversation as ‘fruitful’ and ‘insightful’, and the delegation expressed deep gratitude to the Governor for his time and vision.

Dr Indresh Kumar, a full-time RSS pracharak since 1970 and the founder of MRM in 2002, has long worked to foster interfaith harmony and national unity.

Professor (Dr) Shahid Akhter, who has consistently urged authorities to empower minorities through education, extended special thanks to the Governor for the meaningful engagement.

Lt Gen Hasnain, a renowned expert on strategic affairs and a decorated military leader, took oath as Bihar’s 43rd Governor on 14 March 2026.

The dignitaries also shared moments, underscoring a spirit of collaborative dialogue.
