ED Conducts Raids In Ghaziabad, Delhi Over Housing Society Fraud

The Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Lucknow Zonal Office, carried out search operations on 25 June 2026 at multiple premises in Ghaziabad and Delhi under Section 17 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.

The ongoing investigation involves Sandeep Singh, promoters of Shrasth Propbuild Pvt Ltd, and office bearers of Seva Suraksha Sahkari Awas Samiti.

Investigators allege that the accused induced members of a housing society to surrender their ownership and development rights over approximately 41,544 square metres of land in Akbarpur Bahrampur, Ghaziabad.

They reportedly assured the members that they would receive residential flats under a redevelopment scheme.

The ED further alleges that the accused misused these development rights and sold parts of the society’s land and flats to third parties without authorisation. These transactions are believed to have generated proceeds of crime and formed the basis of the money laundering investigation.

The Enforcement Directorate conducted search operations to collect documentary and digital evidence related to the alleged fraud and financial trail.

Officials stated that the purpose of the raids was to establish the flow of illicit funds and identify all individuals and entities involved in the suspected laundering network.

Authorities confirmed that the investigation is still in progress and further legal action will depend on the evidence recovered during the searches. They also indicated that additional questioning and scrutiny of financial records may follow as the probe advances.
