ED Auctions Seized Hawker 800A Aircraft For 3 Crore In First-Ever Sale Under PMLA Process

In a first-of-its-kind move, the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Hyderabad Zonal Office, auctioned a seized Hawker 800A aircraft through MSTC Limited on July 1, 2026, for a sale consideration of ₹3 crore.

The aircraft was seized on March 7, 2025, during a search operation at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in connection with a Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) case involving Amardeep Kumar, Capital Protection Force Pvt. Ltd., and others.

The seizure was confirmed by the Adjudicating Authority under the PMLA on August 18, 2025.

Subsequently, the ED obtained permission under Rule 4(2) of the Prevention of Money Laundering Rules, 2013, to auction the aircraft, with approval granted on November 20, 2025.

Auction Proceeds To Aid Investor Restitution

The money laundering investigation stems from three FIRs registered by the Economic Offences Wing, Cyberabad, against Falcon Group, Capital Protection Force Pvt. Ltd., its CMD Amardeep Kumar, and others.

The accused allegedly defrauded investors of approximately ₹792 crore through a bogus invoice discounting scheme that promised high returns despite no genuine invoice discounting business being conducted.

The ED had earlier arrested Sandeep Kumar, Sharad Chandra Toshniwal, and Aryan Singh Chhabra, and filed a prosecution complaint before the jurisdictional court on September 29, 2025.

The ₹3 crore realised from the aircraft’s sale will be used for restitution to genuine investors, subject to approval by the Special Court under the PMLA, 2002. Further investigation is underway.
