Dr. Rajeshwar Singh Praises UP’s Visionary Budget In Legislative Assembly

On Monday, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, the MLA from Sarojini Nagar, commended the ₹8.8 lakh crore budget presented by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Finance Minister Suresh Khanna.

He went on to describe it as the most inclusive and development-focused budget in the state’s history. Furthermore, he highlighted the impressive fiscal discipline demonstrated, with a ₹79,000 crore revenue surplus and a carefully controlled financial deficit of 2.97%.

The Importance Of English For Global Opportunities

Dr. Singh rebuked the opposition’s opposition to English, emphasizing its vital role in global education and employment opportunities.

He noted that proficiency in English opens doors for youth to access top universities and well-paying jobs worldwide.

Focus On Digital Literacy & Empowerment

Dr. Singh highlighted the budget’s focus on digital literacy, noting the establishment of smart classrooms in over 18,000 schools and ICT labs in 880 schools.

Furthermore, he pointed out that the distribution of 49 lakh tablets, along with an additional 2 crore tablets under the Swami Vivekananda Scheme, will equip the youth of Uttar Pradesh with the essential tools for a digital future.

Digital Skills For Future Employment

Discussing future job trends, Dr. Singh pointed out that 8.5 crore current jobs may be lost by 2030, but 9.5 crore new jobs will emerge in the digital economy.

He stressed the need for youth to gain skills in areas such as blockchain, cloud computing, and cybersecurity to be prepared for these new opportunities.

Digital Empowerment In Sarojini Nagar

Dr. Singh also shared the steps taken in Sarojini Nagar to promote digital education.

He mentioned the establishment of the Rana Bahadur Singh Digital Empowerment Centre, providing free digital education to youth.

Over 30 schools now have digital libraries, benefiting over 20,000 students. Additionally, 1,000 talented students were provided with tablets, laptops, and bicycles to enhance their digital literacy.

Technology: A Tool Beyond Caste & Gender

Concluding his speech, Dr. Singh reiterated that technology transcends caste and gender.

Moreover, he stressed the crucial importance of equipping children with digital skills, shaping their character, and preparing them for future needs.

He emphasized that we must do this without involving them in divisive politics, ensuring that their growth centers on unity and progress.

Support For The Bold & Visionary Budget

Dr. Singh expressed strong support for Finance Minister Suresh Khanna’s presentation of the budget, calling it a bold step towards securing Uttar Pradesh’s bright future.

In addition, he hailed it as a historic and daring decision, one that will undoubtedly propel the state toward continuous progress.
