On the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, Sarojaninagar MLA Dr Rajeshwar Singh participated in a traditional Shastra Puja ceremony organised by the Indian Kshatriya Society and Lok Adhikar Civil Society at City Montessori School, Gomtinagar.
The event saw a large gathering of community members celebrating the victory of good over evil.
Dr Singh addressed the attendees, noting that weapons are not merely symbols of valour but also instruments for sustaining peace and protecting existence.
He urged followers of Sanatan Dharma to uphold righteousness and use strength responsibly.

The ceremony began with garlanding and offering flowers to portraits of Lord Ram and Maharana Pratap, symbolising courage, duty, and devotion.
Attendees then lit ceremonial lamps to inaugurate the Shastra Puja, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere that emphasised both tradition and cultural heritage.
The event was graced by several prominent leaders, including former Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma and MLC Pawan Chauhan.
Notable dignitaries, including Chedi Singh, SP Singh, Arvind Kumar Singh, Pradeep Singh ‘Babbu’, Shyampal Singh, State Women’s Commission member Ekta Singh, Sanyogita Singh, Colonel AK Singh, Bhanu Pratap Singh, Akhilesh Singh, Devendra Singh, and others, attended the Shastra Puja.
Addressing the assembly, Dr Rajeshwar Singh emphasised the importance of protecting dharma and upholding the victory of good over evil.
He encouraged the Kshatriya community and citizens alike to embrace these values, ensuring that tradition continues to guide present and future generations. His message reinforced the significance of Vijayadashami as a celebration of moral courage, ethical responsibility, and unity.
The MLA further expressed his gratitude to all attendees for participating in the Shastra Puja and celebrating the festival with devotion.
He highlighted the event as a reminder of India’s rich cultural heritage and urged the youth to imbibe the values of courage, righteousness, and service to society.
