Sarojininagar MLA and senior BJP leader Dr Rajeshwar Singh met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday to review ongoing development initiatives and seek support for proposed infrastructure improvements in his constituency.
During the meeting, Dr Singh discussed the progress of key development projects in Sarojininagar and highlighted critical local issues that require immediate attention.
He emphasised the need for swift action to resolve persistent problems, including waterlogging and insufficient drainage.
Dr Singh specifically requested the Chief Minister’s intervention to clean, widen, and ensure uninterrupted flow in Lucknow’s major drains.
He also proposed the construction of new drains in Saidata Road Ahimamau, Tapovan Nagar, Shanti Nagar, and Gindan Kheda—areas frequently affected during the monsoon season.
Expressing gratitude, Dr Singh praised the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath for facilitating major industrial projects in Sarojininagar.
He noted that the state’s largest electric vehicle plant—Ashok Leyland EV Bus Manufacturing Unit—is currently under construction in the area.

In addition, he highlighted that the production of the world’s fastest supersonic cruise missile, BrahMos, has already begun locally.
“These transformative projects mark a new era of industrial development in Sarojininagar,” Dr Singh remarked.
Looking ahead, Dr Singh submitted several proposals to accelerate local development. These included the construction of roads and a new stadium in Gahru under the Chief Minister’s Quick Development Scheme.
The Chief Minister responded positively and assured full support for the proposed initiatives.
Following the meeting, Dr Singh stated, “Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s dynamic leadership, Sarojininagar is reaching new milestones in development. On behalf of the people of my constituency, I extend heartfelt thanks for his continued support.”
The meeting reaffirmed the government’s commitment to infrastructure development and improving the quality of life for residents in Sarojininagar.
