Dr Dinesh Sharma stated that the country must be governed based on patriotism rather than caste or religion while addressing a public gathering in Shamli. He emphasised that national unity and commitment to the country are essential for its progress.
At a large rally organised by local leaders, Dr Dinesh Sharma highlighted that government schemes focus on public welfare and operate without discrimination. He asserted that the government treats minorities as equal citizens and accused opposition parties of viewing them mainly as a vote bank.
During a welcome event, Dr Sharma noted that the government led by PM Narendra Modi is preparing to implement reservations for women in Parliament and state assemblies. He said this move would empower women and increase their participation in governance.
The proposal received strong support from attendees at the gathering.
Dr Sharma remarked that repeated unfulfilled promises by opposition governments have weakened public trust in political leadership. He criticised past administrations, including the period of the Emergency, calling it a setback for democracy. He also accused earlier regimes of fuelling unrest for political gain.
Dr Sharma said that India has emerged as a strong global player under Narendra Modi’s leadership. He added that the country has earned respect on international platforms such as the G20.
According to him, the country now plays a leading role in shaping global discourse, with unity being its core strength.
Referring to international tensions, Dr Sharma pointed out that while neighbouring countries like Pakistan faced economic strain, India remained stable due to effective governance and management by the Central government. He stated that conditions in western Uttar Pradesh have improved significantly, with better infrastructure, reduced travel time, and enhanced law and order. He further added that the electricity supply has expanded to every village, transforming daily life.
Dr Sharma highlighted several initiatives introduced under PM Modi’s leadership, including financial inclusion through Jan Dhan accounts and healthcare support via Ayushman schemes. He said these measures have improved living standards and ensured direct benefits for citizens.
Dr Sharma credited Yogi Adityanath for transforming the state with expressways, airports, and improved public facilities. He added that strict law enforcement has curbed criminal activities and strengthened governance.
Speaking at an event marking Kashyap Jayanti, Dr Sharma described Maharishi Kashyap as a revered figure in Indian tradition. He also referred to Nishadraj’s role in the Ramayana, emphasising cultural values and unity within society.
Dr Sharma reiterated that the government has strengthened law and order and restored public confidence. He said that those committed to national service cannot be intimidated, responding to criticism from opposition leaders.
Referring to remarks by Kalbe Sadiq, Dr Sharma highlighted the importance of humanity. He said saving a life should take precedence over religious obligations.
Dr Sharma accused political opponents of misrepresenting such messages.
The programmes in Shamli and Kandhla saw the presence of several leaders and dignitaries. They reflected broad participation and support for the event’s themes.
