Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana To Boost Indian Agriculture: ANS Prasad

Veteran leader & spokesperson of BJP, ANS Prasad, lauded PM Narendra Modi’s latest Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana & called it revolutionary and a revolutionary step towards agriculture development.

The minister saw it as a step to improve India’s agricultural sector. He called it a ‘pioneering agricultural revitalisation initiative’.

This can take Indian agriculture to a global level and enhance the living standards of people dependent on agriculture.

This scheme of the Prime Minister has been passed through the Union Cabinet. The budget for this project is decided to be Rs 24,000 crore annually for six years. Furthermore, the scheme holds the potential of improving the lives of 1.7 crore farmers. This will also impact more than 20 crore agriculturally dependent individuals.

As per the spokesperson, “The Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana will usher in an era of innovation, renaissance, and growth in India’s farm sector.”

“It is a shining example of the Prime Minister’s unwavering commitment to empowering farmers and transforming India into a self-reliant, developed nation by 2047,” the spokesperson added.

Scheme Benefits

The silver lining of this scheme is its integrated approach. This scheme aims to cover 100 districts across the country. Districts with low crop productivity, moderate crop density & below average credit penetration will be targeted upfront. These are the areas which are often left behind.

Moreover, this scheme highlights the acknowledgement about the diversification of crops, sustainable agricultural practices & productivity of the farm. The scheme will also enhance the quality of life of agriculturally dependent people.

Prasad labelled the Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana as not just a policy but as a mission to empower farmers, who are the backbone of the nation.

“It will bring renewed confidence and hope to agricultural communities and pave the way for a prosperous and resilient rural India,” he said.

This country can become a global powerhouse in sustainable farming with the help of this mission’s long-term vision and planning. The mission can also lead India towards the path of excellence.
