Delhi Schools On High Alert After Bomb Threat Emails; Police Probe Underway

On Monday, several schools in the national capital were put on high alert after receiving emails warning of bomb attacks. Authorities immediately initiated safety measures in response.

Delhi Police have begun a citywide investigation to verify the threats and identify those behind the messages.

Officials confirmed that the emails listed several educational institutions located in different parts of Delhi.

The schools named included Alcon School in East Delhi, Bal Bharati School in Rohini, Jaspal Convent, Mata Jai Kaur School in Ashok Vihar, Loreto Convent School in Delhi Cantt, Cambridge School in Srinivaspuri and NFC, Venkateshwar School in Rohini, The Indian School in Sadiq Nagar, CM School in Rohini, DTA School in INA, the Air Force School on Lodhi Road, KR Manglam School and The Indian School.

School administrations detected the threatening emails early in the day and quickly contacted law enforcement agencies.

In response, teams from the Delhi Police were deployed to the school campuses.

The Fire Department also arrived at the locations to conduct security sweeps and assess the situation.

As a safety precaution, students and staff were moved out of the school premises while detailed checks were conducted.

Police officials said that all the institutions mentioned in the emails are being thoroughly examined.

At present, no suspicious items have been found, and no individuals have been detained in connection with the threats.

Authorities, however, noted that this episode follows a series of similar anonymous emails that have targeted schools and other institutions in the Delhi-NCR region in recent months.

Such incidents have repeatedly caused anxiety among parents and disrupted the normal functioning of educational establishments.

Investigation Into Email Origins

Delhi Police stated that specialised teams are tracing the digital origin of the emails and continuing their investigation.

Officials urged the public to remain calm, stressing that there is no immediate danger at this stage.

Comparable threats were reported in November last year, when bomb warning emails were sent to two schools and three courts in Delhi.

The affected courts included Saket, Patiala House, and Rohini, leading to large-scale evacuations.

Earlier incidents also involved schools in Dwarka and Prashant Vihar, including a CRPF-run institution, where a minor blast was reportedly recorded. Security agencies remain vigilant as efforts continue to prevent further such disruptions.
