Delhi Police Begin Psychological Evaluation Of Accused In IRS Officer’s Daughter Murder Case

Delhi Police have initiated a psychological evaluation of the accused in the high-profile murder of an IRS officer’s daughter in Southeast Delhi.

Investigators aim to examine the suspect’s mental condition, behavioural tendencies, and possible motives.

Officials reported that the accused displayed unusual composure and showed no remorse during questioning.

Experts will conduct a clinical assessment to measure aggression, emotional responses, and personality traits.

Authorities are probing indicators linked to antisocial personality disorder to determine whether the crime was planned or impulsive.

The incident occurred on Wednesday morning at the family’s residence in Kailash Hills. The 22-year-old victim was inside her room when the accused, Rahul Meena, entered the premises. He allegedly misled her about his presence, claiming permission from her mother.

A confrontation escalated when he demanded money. When the victim resisted and raised an alarm, he attacked her with a lamp, causing severe injuries.

Police stated that after incapacitating her, he sexually assaulted her and dragged her to another room. He accessed lockers using her fingerprint and tools, stealing cash and jewellery worth around Rs 2.5 lakh.

CCTV footage tracked his movements from entry at 6:30 AM to exit around 7:20 AM. He later changed clothes and fled. Police traced him through digital evidence, including a stolen phone, hotel Wi-Fi usage, and IPDR analysis.

They arrested him in Dwarka after linking his online activity with a Gurugram contact.

Investigators confirmed that he strangled the victim with a charger. Forensic evidence and psychological profiling will play a crucial role in establishing intent.
