Delhi: Multiple Schools Receive Bomb Threats, Search Underway

In a concerning turn of events, multiple schools in the national capital have received bomb threats, prompting immediate searches and heightened security measures in the affected areas.

Schools Reported Receiving Bomb Threats:

1. Mother Mary School – Located in Mayur Vihar, Delhi

2. Delhi Public School (DPS) – Located in Dwarka

3. Sanskriti School – Located in Chanakyapuri, Delhi

4. Delhi Public School (DPS) – Located in Vasant Kunj

5. Amity School – Located in Saket

Meanwhile, reports suggest that more schools have received a similar threatening email. Authorities suspect that one individual is responsible for all the incidents.

Authorities report that the threats were received via email by the respective school administrations earlier today. The email raised alarms and necessitated swift action from law enforcement agencies.

The affected schools, which include both public and private institutions, were evacuated as a precautionary measure.

Students, teachers, and staff were safely evacuated out of the buildings. Police and bomb disposal squads have cordoned off the areas for thorough searches.

Sniffer dogs and bomb detection equipment are currently being employed to conduct a thorough scan of the premises.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police, Bomb Disposal Squad and fire tenders are also present at the spot.

DCP South West Rohit Meena provided insight into the measures taken by law enforcement. Despite the unsettling nature of the situation, Meena urged both students and parents to remain composed and refrain from panicking.

Fire Officer JB Singh confirmed it as a hoax call.

Kamini, the principal of Delhi Public School, Noida emphasized the gravity of a situation they encountered when they received a concerning email regarding a potential bomb threat. Understanding the anxiety this news could cause among parents, she ensured clear communication by promptly informing them of the situation.

Authorities are working tirelessly to ascertain the credibility of the threats and apprehend those responsible for instigating panic and disrupting the normalcy of educational institutions.
