Delhi Government To Discuss Health Services Expansion In Cabinet Meeting

The Delhi government will hold a crucial cabinet meeting today and is expected to make key decisions regarding the expansion of health services in the capital.

Sources indicate that the government is considering several initiatives to improve the healthcare infrastructure, including introducing MRI testing facilities in major hospitals across Delhi.

Delhi Govt To Discuss MRI Testing Facilities Under PPP Model

At present, MRI testing services are available only at a few government hospitals, including LNJP, GB Pant, and GTB Hospital. However, the government is now looking to expand this service to other prominent hospitals in the city.

The government plans to discuss the proposal to introduce MRI testing facilities at these hospitals during today’s meeting and may roll it out under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.

The expansion of MRI services aims to make diagnostic testing more accessible to the public, reducing the strain on existing facilities and improving healthcare delivery.

Private Agencies May Assist In OPD Operations

In another significant development, the Delhi government is also considering a proposal to involve private agencies in managing the operations of Outpatient Departments (OPDs) at government hospitals.

The government expects the move to streamline the management of OPD services, make them more efficient, and improve the patient experience.

Sources suggest that the government could present this proposal for approval during the meeting.

Delhi Govt Focuses On Improving Healthcare Infrastructure

Officials plan to address several important aspects of healthcare delivery in Delhi during the meeting, focusing particularly on upgrading infrastructure and enhancing patient services.

Officials anticipate that today’s discussions could pave the way for major improvements in the city’s health sector.

As the cabinet meeting unfolds, all eyes will be on the decisions that may shape the future of healthcare in Delhi.
