Delhi Double Murder Case Plan Inspired By Movie ‘Mission Malamal’, READ How Murderers Executed It

In the latest development in Delhi’s double murder case, the two men arrested for the murders of a 73-year-old woman and her differently-able daughter were cousins. They thought that their master plan of robbery would make them rich, according to the police.

‘Mission Malamal’: The master plan inspiration

The foolproof plan of Kishan (28) a marketing manager, and cousin Ankit Kumar Singh (25), who is a teacher, singer and lyricist, were inspired by a movie called ‘Mission Malamal’ that they had watched.

Taking notes from the accused arrest, Ankit was arrested on Friday in Timarpur, Kishan on Saturday in Kanti Nagar. They allegedly murdered Rajrani Karar and her 39-year-old daughter Ginni on May 25, slitting their throats in their house in Krishna Nagar, Shahdara. Rajrani and Ginni seldom interacted with neighbours, so the murders were detected a week later when the neighbours complained of a stench in the building.

After the murder, the accused were gone back to normal lives

After their brutal execution, both of the accused returned to their normal lives. Kishan and Ankit, who may have assumed that they had got away.  Kishan had planned an office travel trip and Ankit had gone back to singing.

When the horrifying killing of the mother-daughter came to light, police teams were deployed, led by Inspector Vikas Kumar. “Kishan was planning to surrender in court when he was nabbed in Kanti Nagar,” an officer said.

Speaking to the media, Shahdara DCP Rohit Meena said that Kishan, who worked in a medical equipment firm, had got himself registered on an online tutoring website. He came in contact with Rajrani through the portal and she hired him as Ginni’s English tutor. Later, when she wanted a computer teacher, Kishan suggested Ankit to her.

How the murderers planned this brutal crime?

Soon after Kishan started teaching Ginni in April, he gradually gained Rajrani’s trust. She showed him her bank account details. He saw she had over Rs 50 lakh. Now, from here the idea of a robbery bid came to him.

Moreover, to be closer to Rajrani, the accused helped her in house hunting as she wanted to move from Krishna Nagar. He and Ankit “initially hatched a plan to transfer money from (her) account to pseudonymous accounts, but were unable to as net banking and ATM facilities were unavailable,” Officer Meena said. They then planned the murders. Ankit came to Delhi from Assam, where he had gone for an event. The two did a recce and bought knives in Laxmi Nagar,” an officer said.

Operation Malamal

“Kishan informed Rajrani about the teacher and said he wanted her to meet him. However, she told him (Kishan) she was busy but later decided to meet him at her home. Kishan messaged Ankit that Operation Malamal was on,” the officer said. At Rajrani’s home, one of them asked Ginni for water. The moment she left, both attacked Rajrani with knives. Then, one of them attacked Ginni,” the officer added.

Further, the officer said,  “While leaving the house, one of the accused told the other to put his phone on his ear and laugh so that no one would suspect anything.”

They took the video screen connected to an anti-burglary system. They also consulted lawyers after the crime. They switched off their phones when the cops got wind of them.
