Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Calls PM Modi’s Dedication Gold Standard For Politicians

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dedication as the ultimate example for all politicians.

During a candid conversation with actor Anupam Kher marking 100 days of her government, Gupta said, “PM Modi’s selfless dedication towards a goal, country, motherland, and public is a gold standard for all politicians.”

She added that dedication is essential for any politician’s success and highlighted the importance of empathy and patriotism in public service, quoting a Hindi couplet to emphasise her point.

PM Modi’s Messages Motivate The Nation: Delhi CM

CM Gupta expressed how every word PM Modi speaks about the country motivates her and her team.

She cited Modi’s push for ‘vocal for local’ and his efforts to promote Indian products as constant sources of inspiration.

When asked about what she misses most as Chief Minister, Gupta revealed she has lost the freedom to express herself casually.

“The freedom to indulge in playfulness and banter is gone,” she said, noting that her current role demands careful speech and responsibility, unlike earlier days when she could speak freely without worrying about consequences.

Delhi CM Launches Financial Support Scheme For Poor Women Soon

In the interview, CM Gupta announced that her government would soon launch a Rs 2,500 monthly financial assistance scheme for poor women in Delhi.

She revealed that her administration has conducted six meetings on the policy and allocated Rs 5,100 crore in the budget for the Mahila Samridhi Yojana.

Criticism Of Other States’ Failed Schemes

Gupta criticised the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) governments in Punjab and Delhi for failing to implement or adequately fund similar welfare schemes despite promises.

She pointed out that the Himachal government ran out of funds after announcing its financial assistance program enthusiastically.

She also criticised the previous AAP government in Delhi for failing to fulfil its pre-election promise of giving Rs 1,000 to women, and highlighted Punjab’s failure to launch its financial aid scheme.
