A recent incident near Hazaribagh railway station saw a collision between a cow and the Vande Bharat train, a mere 400 meters away from the station along the loop line. The collision occurred during the Vande Bharat train’s journey from Ranchi to Patna around 7 pm, causing a temporary halt as a result.
Fortunately, prompt action by the sweepers and station workers prevented a major catastrophe. They swiftly cleared the tracks, allowing the Vande Bharat train to resume its journey from Hazaribagh Town Railway Station to Patna on schedule. The collision between the high-speed Vande Bharat train and the cow posed a potential danger, given the train’s velocity. However, due to the train’s reduced speed near the station, the impact caused minor injuries to the cow and minimal damage to the train.

Thanks to the efficiency of the station staff, the disruption to train traffic was brief, ensuring minimal inconvenience. Nevertheless, such incidents must be prevented in the future, warranting increased attention from station management. Ensuring the safety of both passengers and animals along the railway tracks remains a crucial priority to avoid similar mishaps.
