Coronavirus New Variant Cases In India Updates, 26 December: After the recent spurt in the cases of Corona in China and many countries, the Central Government is keeping an eye on the situation of Covid (Covid) at the global level. Meanwhile, two foreign national corona positive patients have been found at Kolkata airport, in which one is a British woman, both have been isolated. Where both are undergoing treatment.
According to the information, 2 covid positive cases have been reported at Kolkata airport. One of the positive passengers had come from Dubai on 24 December while the other had come from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Both the samples have been sent for genome sequencing.
196 New Cases Surfaced In 24 Hours
In the last 24 hours, 196 new cases of corona virus were reported in India, this information was given by the Ministry of Health on Monday. The figure was 227 on Sunday. Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will hold a meeting through video conferencing with the Indian Medical Association on the status and preparedness of Kovid-19. Currently the number of active cases in India is 3,428.
According to the Union Health Ministry data, the weekly positivity rate currently stands at 0.16 per cent, while the daily positivity rate is 0.56 per cent. With the recovery of 190 patients in the last 24 hours, the total number has increased to 4,41,43,179. As a result, the recovery rate is 98.80 percent. While during this period a total of 35,173 tests were conducted across the country. With 29,818 vaccines given in the last 24 hours, the Covid-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 220.05 crore till this morning.
