He pointed out that on August 23, India celebrated its first National Space Day, marking the success of Chandrayaan-3, which landed at the Shiv-Shakti point on the Moon’s southern pole last year. Modi noted that India became the first country to achieve this milestone.

Furthermore, PM Modi discussed the benefits of space sector reforms, particularly for the youth. He interacted with the Spacetech Startup Galaxeye, founded by IIT Madras alumni. He recounted how their team, ‘Avishkar Hyperloop,’ achieved top rankings at a global competition in America, which boosted their confidence for future projects. Suyash expressed excitement about the 2020 decision to open up and privatize the space sector.
Rakshit, another member of the startup, explained how their technology can see through clouds and at night, providing clear images from space. This technology aims to enhance national security and support Indian farmers.
