Congress Releases First List Of Candidates For Telangana Polls

Congress, today, released it’s first list of candidates for the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections. 55 names were figured in that list out of a total of 119 member house. All the three Lok Sabha members from the state were allotted tickets. The members are Telangana PCC chief A Revanth Reddy, N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.

A. Revanth Reddy is to contest from Kodangal assembly constituency , while Uttam Kumar Reddy is to contest from Huzurnagar and Komatireddy and Venkat Reddy has been given the Nalgonda constituency ticket. The party has failed to  abide by its Udaipur declaration of one ticket per family unless the second candidate has five years of organizational experience.

Mynampally Hanumanth Rao, the BRS partyman-turned-Congressman, will contest from Malkajgiri and his son Rohith will be the Congress candidate from Medak. Hanumantha Rao quit the BRS since it refused to nominate his son from that assembly constituency.   Uttam Kumar Reddy’s wife Padmavathi has been given the Kodad  ticket. T Narsa Reddy will be contesting the Gajwel constituency against the chief minister and BRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Dr Kota Neelima, wife of Congress leader Pawan Khera, will be contesting  from Sanathnagar against the  BRS strongman Talasani Srinivas.
