The Bharat Film Festival commenced on 8 April in Greater Noida, bringing together India’s rich cultural heritage and cinematic journey on a single platform.
The three-day national seminar and film festival, running until 10 April, is jointly organised by IIMT College of Management and the Ministry of Culture.
CMD of Bharat Express News Network, Upendrra Rai, attended the event as the keynote speaker.
As an experienced journalist and a popular motivational speaker among youth, his presence added a renewed sense of energy to the proceedings. Bharat Express is also serving as the official media partner for the event.
This year’s theme, ‘Bharat Ki Baat Sunata Hoon’, aims to present India’s untold stories, struggles, and achievements through cinema to younger generations.
The festival features screenings of notable films alongside in-depth discussions and seminars on cinematic and social issues.
The three-day event at the IIMT campus has drawn large crowds, with over 15 speakers participating. Prominent personalities from the film and arts world, including Ravi Kishan, Rituparna Sengupta, and Manoj Bakshi, are part of the festival, sharing their perspectives on the evolving nature of cinema and its deep impact on Indian society.
Notably, CMD Upendrra Rai has remained actively involved in cultural and intellectual initiatives beyond journalism.
He has previously played a key role in successful editions of the Bharat Literature Festival held across cities, including Delhi.
Alongside Bharat Express, reputed media organisations such as Deshbandhu, Navbharat Times, Zee News, and Amar Ujala have joined as media partners.
For those passionate about cinema and Indian culture, the ongoing festival in Greater Noida offers a vibrant and enriching experience.
