MLA from Campierganj, Gorakhpur, and former minister Fateh Bahadur Singh is undergoing treatment at KK Hospital after sustaining injuries in a recent road accident.
On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the hospital to meet him and check on his condition.
As CM Yogi entered the room, Fateh Bahadur Singh folded his hands and greeted him. The MLA emotionally said, “I had gone to Gorakhpur after touching your feet. That is why my life was saved even after this terrible accident.”
CM Yogi interacted with the doctors and enquired about the MLA’s health. He also looked at the X-ray reports and assured the family of all necessary assistance.
A few days ago, BJP MLA and former cabinet minister Fateh Bahadur Singh met with a road accident on the Gorakhpur Link Expressway. He was initially admitted to Agrawal Hospital in Gorakhpur for first aid. Later, he was shifted to KK Hospital in Lucknow for further treatment.
The accident occurred on Monday evening when Singh was travelling towards Gorakhpur with his convoy. One of the escort vehicles lost control and hit the divider. Singh’s car then crashed into the escort vehicle.
In the accident, Singh suffered a shoulder injury. Others travelling in his vehicle also sustained injuries. One of his security personnel was seriously hurt and remains in critical condition.
Doctors are monitoring Singh’s condition closely. Hospital sources confirm he is stable and responding to treatment.
Fateh Bahadur Singh is a six-time MLA from the Campierganj Assembly seat in Gorakhpur. He previously served as the Forest Minister in Uttar Pradesh. He is the son of the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Veer Bahadur Singh.
