CM Yogi Launches Seva Pakhwada 2025; Hails PM Modi For Making ‘New India’ An Inspiration

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday launched the Seva Pakhwada 2025 in Lucknow to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday.

Extending greetings on behalf of the state’s 25 crore people, CM Yogi praised PM Modi as ‘the world’s most visionary and popular leader’.

Addressing a press conference, CM Yogi said the fortnight-long campaign will run from September 17 to October 2. He added that it will feature various social and creative initiatives aimed at uniting society.

“It is our good fortune that Seva Pakhwada is being launched on the Prime Minister’s birthday. Today, the entire world is witnessing a new India under his leadership. Once considered a laggard, India is now inspiring the world with its self-confidence,” he said.

Highlighting PM Modi’s Achievements

CM Yogi listed PM Modi’s achievements over the last 11 years. He noted India’s ‘unprecedented success’ in the economy, infrastructure, investment, education, health, agriculture, and water resources.

The Chief Minister credited progress to the government’s focus on villages, the poor, farmers, women, youth, Dalits, and marginalised communities. He claimed that 25 crore people have risen above the poverty line.

On cultural heritage, he said India has restored respect for traditions, noting, “Builders have constructed a grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya after 500 years. Authorities have redeveloped the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, rejuvenated Kedarnath and Badrinath, and transformed the Mahakal Temple. These efforts have put India’s spiritual heritage on the global map.”

He also highlighted initiatives commemorating Dr Ambedkar, Sant Ravidas, and Maharishi Valmiki as milestones in social justice and upliftment.

CM Yogi praised PM Modi, saying India developed a Covid-19 vaccine in just nine months, a feat unseen in the past century.

“Not only was it provided free to every citizen, but India also shared it with dozens of other countries”, he added.

Focus on Women’s Health and Youth Engagement

The first phase of Seva Pakhwada, under ‘Swastha Nari, Sashakt Pariwar’, focuses on women’s health with check-ups, nutrition programmes, and awareness drives.

The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha will hold blood donation camps, while free health screenings will run across hospitals and health centres.

CM Yogi announced a ‘Prabuddh Sammelan’ (Enlightened People’s Conference) on September 19-20. Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and local representatives will participate in the event.

Organisers will hold a ‘NaMo Marathon’ in 17 cities on September 21 to promote the Fit India movement.

Seva Pakhwada will culminate on October 2 with programmes marking the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Activities will include promoting Khadi, exhibitions, and distributing toolkits under the MSME and One District One Product schemes. Officials will set up exhibitions on PM Modi’s life journey in every district to inspire students and the public.
