CM Yogi Extends Navratri Wishes; Prays For Devotees’ Courage & Strength

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday extended greetings to devotees on the sixth day of Shardiya Navratri, praying to Maa Katyayani, the sixth form of Adi Shakti Maa Jagadamba, for the courage and strength to fulfil their resolves.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister offered his salutations to the goddess and sought her blessings for devotees.

He described Maa Katyayani as the embodiment of the message of protecting righteousness and prayed that her grace would help people remain steadfast in their commitments.

“May we pray to Maa Katyayani, bearer of the message to protect righteousness, that by her grace, all devotees may attain the courage and strength to fulfil their resolves. Jai Maa Katyayani,” he said.

Yogi also shared a Sanskrit mantra dedicated to Maa Katyayani, invoking the goddess’s blessings on the auspicious occasion.

Worshipped on the sixth day of Navratri, Maa Katyayani symbolises courage, strength, determination and the protection of righteousness. Devotees pray to her for the strength to overcome challenges, build confidence and follow the path of truth.

Shardiya Navratri 2026 Day 6 is being observed on Friday, with devotees across the country offering prayers and performing rituals in honour of Maa Katyayani. Many also observe fasts during the nine-day festival, which celebrates the different forms of Goddess Durga.

The festival holds immense religious significance, with devotees seeking the goddess’s blessings for strength, prosperity and harmony. Shardiya Navratri concludes with Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, which symbolises the victory of good over evil.
