CM Yogi Adityanath Inaugurates Inspiration Memorial In Prayagraj, Highlights Sanatan Heritage

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday inaugurated the Prerna Sthal (Inspiration Memorial) in Prayagraj on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee.

Built by the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation at a cost of ₹1 crore on the banks of the Yamuna River at Kalighat, the memorial features statues of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and Ram Janmabhoomi movement leader Ashok Singhal.

The Chief Minister unveiled the statues, paid tribute to the three leaders, and thanked the Mayor and public representatives for developing the memorial. He also recalled their contributions to the nation.

Addressing the gathering, Yogi Adityanath said India’s soul resides in Sanatan Dharma and that Lord Ram is the foundation of the nation’s spirit. He stated that Lord Ram symbolises the nation and unites India from north to south.

The Chief Minister also referred to Mahakumbh 2025 while highlighting the traditions and glory of Sanatan Dharma.

During the event, he honoured beneficiaries of various government schemes, distributed tricycles to persons with disabilities, recognised athletes for their achievements, and presented certificates under the PM Surya Dhan Yojana.

Further more CM Yogi also distributed sanitation kits to sanitation workers and handed over house keys and cheques to beneficiaries of the housing and PM SVANidhi schemes.

Political Remarks Ahead of 2027

After the programme, the Chief Minister left for the Prayagraj Mela Authority auditorium to review pending Public Works Department projects and indicated that the city could receive several major development projects in the future.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also addressed the gathering, praising the municipal corporation for constructing the memorial.

He highlighted the BJP’s growth as the world’s largest political party, credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for India’s global standing, and criticised the previous Samajwadi Party government over law and order.

The CM also expressed confidence that the BJP would return to power in Uttar Pradesh in 2027 and that the NDA would form the government at the Centre again in 2029.
