Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked the eighth anniversary of BJP’s rule in Uttar Pradesh on March 24, 2025. He lauded the government’s significant progress in various sectors, particularly emphasizing the state’s improved law and order situation.
CM Yogi Adityanath stated that the state had witnessed a dramatic shift in law enforcement.
Prior to 2017, Uttar Pradesh faced frequent riots and was considered unsafe for citizens, particularly women and businessmen.
However, the situation has transformed, with the state now enjoying the rule of law.
CM Adityanath highlighted that the government had filled over 1.56 lakh police vacancies, built police lines in all districts, and significantly increased the training capacity for law enforcement.
The Chief Minister also pointed to the remarkable progress in reducing unemployment, which had dropped from 19% in 2017 to 3%.
Over 8 lakh youth were provided with government jobs, while more than 2 crore young people engaged in self-employment through the MSME sector.
Additionally, the government launched digital initiatives that empowered more than 50 lakh youth by providing them with tablets and smartphones.
The One District One Product (ODOP) scheme fostered traditional entrepreneurship, contributing to the rise in exports from ₹86,000 crore to ₹2 lakh crore.
CM Adityanath proudly stated that the education sector had seen significant improvements.
More than 50 lakh additional students enrolled in Basic Education Council schools, and the government established 10 new universities and 21 private universities.
The Chief Minister also noted the creation of coaching centers across districts, and the provision of 100% scholarships to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and OBC students.
On the infrastructure front, the Chief Minister announced that six expressways are operational, and work continues on 11 more.
Uttar Pradesh now boasts 16 operational airports, including four international ones, with the country’s largest airport set to open soon in Jewar.
CM Adityanath emphasized his government’s commitment to uplifting the poor.
Over 6 crore people were lifted above the poverty line, while 15 crore residents have been receiving free rations for the past five years.
Other welfare initiatives included the distribution of 1.86 crore Ujjwala gas connections and 9 crore golden cards under the Ayushman Bharat health scheme.
Housing was provided to 56 lakh poor families, ensuring improved living conditions for millions.
Looking ahead, CM Adityanath highlighted ongoing projects worth ₹15 lakh crore, which aim to drive economic growth in the state.
These projects include the construction of medical colleges, smart city initiatives, and continued improvements in the ease of doing business.
In conclusion, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s eight years in power have brought transformative change to Uttar Pradesh, improving the quality of life for its citizens while positioning the state as a hub for economic and infrastructural development.
