CM Yogi Adityanath Emphasizes Unity At Maha Kumbh: ‘Only with Unity Will The Country Remain United’

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Prayagraj on Sunday to review preparations for the upcoming Mauni Amavasya and Basant Panchami Mahasnaans. During his visit, he addressed the media and highlighted the profound spiritual and cultural significance of the Maha Kumbh, emphasizing the theme of unity as the central message of the event.

Speaking to journalists after his review, CM Yogi noted the overwhelming response from devotees worldwide. “Devotees are arriving in large numbers, both from across the country and abroad,” he said. He recounted a poignant moment when foreign visitors, despite not knowing Hindi or Sanskrit, sang Sanskrit mantras and hymns in reverence to Sanatan Dharma and Maa Ganga. “This shows the global reverence for our culture. The message of the Maha Kumbh is clear: the country will remain united only with unity,” CM Yogi emphasized.

The Chief Minister also expressed his admiration for the enthusiasm displayed by international visitors, many of whom were deeply moved by their experiences at the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati rivers.

Record-Breaking Turnout At Maha Kumbh

CM Yogi further elaborated on the scale of the event, revealing that over one crore people are currently present at the Maha Kumbh. “The grandeur of Maha Kumbh is evident, with over 7,000 organizations already participating. With the main bathing dates, including Mauni Amavasya on January 29 and Basant Panchami on February 3, we are expecting even more devotees,” he stated.

He also highlighted the significant collaboration between state and central departments to ensure the smooth operation and safety of such a massive gathering. “Our efforts are focused on realizing a grand, divine, and digital Kumbh while respecting the faith of our devotees,” he added.

Regarding the upcoming Mahasnaans, CM Yogi expressed confidence that the arrangements would be completed smoothly. “We have thoroughly reviewed the preparations, and I am confident that, with the blessings of Lord Prayagraj and Maa Ganga, both Mauni Amavasya and Basant Panchami Mahasnaans will be completed safely,” he said.

The Chief Minister also mentioned that key political figures, including the Prime Minister, President, Vice President, and Home Minister, are expected to attend the event, underscoring the national importance of the Maha Kumbh. He further noted that several high-profile individuals, such as former President Ram Nath Kovind, state Governors, and Chief Ministers, as well as judges from the Supreme Court and High Courts, are visiting Prayagraj to participate in the religious rituals.

Devotees, Both Indian And Foreign, Experience Spiritual Fulfillment

Describing the emotional impact of the event, CM Yogi shared that both Indian and foreign devotees were deeply moved by their experiences at the Sangam. “We could not personally bathe during Makar Sankranti and Paush Purnima, as we had restricted ourselves, but the sentiments expressed by the saints and devotees were truly overwhelming,” he concluded.

As Maha Kumbh 2025 continues, it is clear that the event is not just a religious gathering but also a powerful message of unity, both for India and for the world.
