Union Home and Cooperation Minister HM Amit Shah on Wednesday lauded Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for implementing transformative, farmer-centric policies that set national benchmarks.
Speaking at a mega cooperative conference in the presence of CM Saini, HM Amit Shah announced major initiatives and virtually inaugurated key projects, including the Salempur Milk Chilling Centre in Bhiwani, the HAFED Atta Mill at Jatusana in Rewari, and the IYC portal developed by the Ministry of Cooperation.
HM Amit Shah distributed RuPay Platinum debit cards to five beneficiaries of Haryana State Cooperative Banks and handed over registration certificates to the presidents of two newly established M-PACS set up by KRIBHCO in Haryana.
He also released an annual publication detailing IYC-related events and screened a corporate film highlighting KRIBHCO’s work.
Praising CM Saini, HM Amit Shah described him as a transformative force whose decisive governance has empowered farmers and positioned Haryana as a model for transparency, efficiency, and visionary administration.
He noted the Chief Minister’s courage and determination in implementing ambitious reforms that few governments dare attempt.
HM Amit Shah emphasised Haryana’s pioneering achievement in ensuring Minimum Support Price (MSP) procurement for all 24 crops, with payments made to farmers within 48 hours, a historic administrative milestone.
He highlighted that the Chief Minister ensured the highest sugarcane prices in the country, setting a benchmark that other states are now following.
The Home Minister further underscored Haryana’s water management and irrigation initiatives. Under the ‘Per Drop – More Crop’ scheme, the state provides 85 per cent subsidies, extends irrigation to previously neglected areas, and has constructed 2,088 Amrit Sarovars, reflecting forward-looking planning and long-term vision.
HM Amit Shah pointed out that although Haryana is a relatively small state, it contributes significantly to agriculture, dairy production, sports, and national security.
He stressed that while the state plays a major role in industrial output, GST, and income tax contributions, the true measure of governance lies in the welfare of farmers.
Expressing confidence in CM Saini’s leadership, HM Amit Shah stated that following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Sahkar se Samriddhi’ (prosperity through cooperation), Haryana will continue to rise among India’s leading states, combining innovation, farmer welfare, and administrative excellence.
