Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will kick off the ‘Jan Kalyan Parv’ on Wednesday to mark the completion of one year in office. The BJP government in the state will organize a two-week-long event to showcase the development work undertaken in the past year.
Chief Minister Yadav has instructed district administrations to hold camps in blocks and gram panchayats to highlight the government’s achievements. “Officers will meet with people, inform them about the state’s welfare schemes, and ensure that eligible individuals receive the benefits,” said Yadav.
He has also directed his cabinet ministers and MLAs to organize similar programs in their constituencies. During the ‘Jan Seva Parv,’ ministers and MLAs will focus on ensuring that public welfare schemes reach every ward and village.

Yadav emphasized that the state government’s 56 welfare schemes, launched in the past year, have benefitted the people of Madhya Pradesh.
The BJP’s victory in the state Assembly elections held on November 17, 2023, led to a leadership change. Following the victory, BJP’s central leadership replaced former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan with Mohan Yadav. A three-time BJP MLA from Ujjain, Yadav took office as Chief Minister on December 13, 2023.
Chouhan, elected as a Lok Sabha MP from Vidisha, now serves as the Union Agriculture Minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet. The BJP won 163 seats out of the 230-member Assembly, while Congress dropped to 66 seats from 114 in the 2018 elections.
On Tuesday, CM Yadav met with Prime Minister Modi at Parliament House, where he briefed him on the state’s welfare initiatives and sought his guidance. He also sought Modi’s blessings as he completes one year in office.
