CM Chouhan Met PM Modi, Discussed Significant Public Welfare Schemes

Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Prime Minister Modi in New Delhi today. CM Chouhan discussed significant public welfare schemes including Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan, Global Investors Summit, G-20 Summit and Khelo India Youth Games with the Prime Minister.

Chief Minister Chouhan also requested PM Modi to virtually inaugurate the Global Investors Summit and he also urged him to lay foundation stone of the Floating Solar Plant.

Bhopal : 26 December, 2022. MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today met PM Narendra Modi at his residence in the Capital today. Both the leaders discussed various contemporary issues related to development and public welfare of Madhya Pradesh. CM Chouhan sought guidance from the Prime Minister discussing the meetings of Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan along with Global Investors Summit, G-20 Summit (to be held in Indore in January 2023) and Khelo India Youth Games in Madhya Pradesh.

Prawasi Bharatiya Sammelan to be inaugurated by PM

After a fruitful discussion with PM Modi, CM Chouhan informed that the Prime Minister is going to inaugurate the three-day program of Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan to be held in Indore on January 8, 9 and 10, 2023. Representatives from around 80 countries will be welcomed in the conference according to the tradition of Madhya Pradesh. CM Chouhan also informed that ministers, diplomats, industrialists and delegations from about 68 countries, including the President of Guyana and Suriname, are going to participate in the Global Investors Summit which is going to be held on January 11 and 12, 2023.

G-20 Meetings preparation

The MP Chief Minister also requested PM Modi to virtually inaugurate the summit. He apprised PM Modi about the preparations for the eight G-20 meetings to be held in MP and the Khelo India Youth Games and sought his guidance also in this regard.

PESA implementation was also apprised

The Chief Minister apprised PM Modi about the PESA Act implemented in the state. He also informed the Prime Minister  about the rights of the tribal brothers and sisters of Madhya Pradesh pertaining to forests, land and water and the rules made under the PESA Act in order to promote state culture and traditions.

‘MP is promoting Solar Energy and Natural Farming’

Apprising about the Solar Energy promotion in MP, Chief Minister Chouhan told Prime Minister Modi that solar energy will be generated by laying solar panels on top of the Omkareshwar dam as the floating solar plant. Land will also be saved from the plant along with witnessing a reduction in water evaporation. CM Chouhan urged the Prime Minister to lay the foundation stone of this project. Chief Minister Chouhan also apprised the Prime Minister about the state’s natural farming which is carried out by 53 thousand farmers of MP. CM Chouhan thanked the Prime Minister for the guidance and cooperation being received from Prime Minister Modi in connection with various schemes related to the development of the state.
