Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday admitted lion Bharat and lioness Gauri into the enclosure at Shaheed Ashfaq Ullah Khan Zoological Park (Gorakhpur Zoo). Both these rare wildlife were brought from Etawah Lion Safari in the last week of May. After the Chief Minister released them in the enclosure, now the visitors coming to the zoo will be able to see this pair of lions.
People will also be able to get the thrill of their roar. Earlier on June 2 also, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had come to visit the zoo. Then he got information about lions by seeing five year old Bharat and seven year old lioness Gauri. Chief Minister Yogi is very fond of Gorakhpur Zoo. Whenever he gets a chance, he comes here to see the wildlife and learn about their care.
On the voice of Chief Minister Yogi, lion went running into the enclosure. On Saturday, he came to leave the lion pair Bharat and Gauri in the enclosure. Minister of State for Forest and Environment (Independent Charge) Dr. Arun Saxena was also present along with the Chief Minister. As soon as the Chief Minister opened the gate of the crawl and said, let’s go, the lion ran into the enclosure. The Chief Minister took information about both the lions from the zoo director and DFO Vikas Yadav here.
He also gave the message of environmental protection by planting Harishankari sapling near the lion enclosure. He also inspected the oil paintings here. Chief Minister Yogi fed the rhino pair Hari-Gauri and the bear with his hands. While visiting the zoo, Chief Minister Yogi also inspected it. During this tour, Chief Minister Yogi reached the enclosure of the rhino pair Hari and Gauri and fed fodder to both of them with his own hands. This pair of rhinos is very dear to the Chief Minister and earlier on June 2, he had come here and fed them banana.

During the tour, Chief Minister Yogi also reached the enclosure of the Himalayan bear Billu. He fed ice cream, ice balls and honey to this bear suffering from heat. In total, the CM spent about twelve minutes near the enclosures of Hari-Gauri and Billu. He also visited other wildlife enclosures of the zoo.
Chief Minister Yogi named the tiger Shakti: During his visit to the zoo, Chief Minister Yogi named the tiger rescued from the forest of Lakhimpur. He named the tiger Shakti. After the naming, this tiger kept roaring inside the enclosure for a long time.
Chief Minister Yogi also met the children: While visiting the zoo, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also met the children of Vantangiya Basti, Pre-Secondary School, Jungle Tikonia Number 3, who had come here. He had a heartfelt conversation with the children and blessed them. He also gifted them chocolates.

Keep drinking plenty of water in view of the heat. The Chief Minister laughed a lot with some children who got face painting done on the lion theme here.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, MLC and State Vice President of BJP Dr. Dharmendra Singh, MLA Vipin Singh, Pradeep Shukla, District President of BJP Yudhishthir Singh, Metropolitan President Rajesh Gupta, DFO and Zoo Director Vikas Yadav etc. were also present.
