Chhattisgarh Foundation Day: PM Modi, CM Vishnu Deo Sai Extend Greetings

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday extended greetings to the people of Chhattisgarh on the occasion of the state’s Foundation Day, marking its 26th anniversary.

In a post on X, PM Modi congratulated the residents and praised Chhattisgarh’s tribal culture, natural wealth, folk traditions and archaeological heritage, describing them as distinctive features of the state’s identity.

PM Modi highlighted the state’s efforts to eradicate Naxalism, saying it was encouraging to see Chhattisgarh advancing towards development at a faster pace. He expressed confidence that the talent and hard work of its people would help the state make a greater contribution to the country’s prosperity. He further wished residents well-being and happiness.

यह प्रदेश अपनी जनजातीय संस्कृति, प्राकृतिक संपदा और अनूठी लोक परंपराओं के लिए प्रख्यात है। राज्य की पुरातात्विक धरोहरें इसकी विशेष पहचान रही हैं। यहां की लोक-संस्कृति से परिपूर्ण परिवेश में एक अद्भुत अपनापन है, जो हर किसी को अपनी ओर आकर्षित करता है।

आज यह देखकर खुशी होती है कि नक्सलवाद की जड़ें खत्म करते हुए हमारा यह राज्य विकास के पथ पर और तेज रफ्तार से आगे बढ़ रहा है। मुझे विश्वास है कि मेरे प्रतिभाशाली और परिश्रमी परिवारजनों की भागीदारी से यह प्रदेश राष्ट्र की समृद्धि में बढ़-चढ़कर योगदान देता रहेगा।

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also extended greetings to the people, celebrating Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage and its development journey over the past 26 years.

In his post on X, Sai described the state as the maternal home of Lord Ram and the sacred land of Mata Kaushalya, highlighting its tribal pride and rich folk traditions.

Sai further paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, recalling his visionary leadership and role in fulfilling the demand for a separate Chhattisgarh state in 2000. He said his government was working towards realising Vajpayee’s vision of a developed and prosperous Chhattisgarh.

The Chief Minister urged residents to strengthen their collective commitment to the state’s ‘Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision 2047’ under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

Chhattisgarh was carved out of Madhya Pradesh on November 1, 2000, under the Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act. The state observes November 1 as its Foundation Day every year.
