CBSE Declares Class 10 & 12 Results For 2025; Girls Outshine Boys Again

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the Class 10 and 12 results for the academic year 2024–25 on Tuesday, May 13.

This year, over 42 lakh students appeared for the exams conducted between February 15 and April 4 across 7,842 centres in India and 26 international locations.

Class 10 Results: 93.66% Pass, Girls Lead Again

Out of more than 23 lakh students who appeared for the Class 10 exams, 93.66% passed. Girls recorded a 95% pass rate, once again outperforming boys.

Among regions, Thiruvananthapuram, Vijayawada, and Bengaluru emerged as the top performers. Delhi ranked seventh, while Guwahati recorded the lowest pass percentage.

Class 12 Results: 88.39% Pass, Girls Ahead By Nearly 6%

In the Class 12 results, 88.39% of students passed, marking a 0.41% improvement from last year. Of the 16 lakh candidates, over 14 lakh cleared the examination.

91% of girls passed compared to boys, outperforming them by 5.94%. Vijayawada topped regional performance with a 99.60% pass rate, while Prayagraj placed at the bottom with around 80%.

Accessing Results And Digital Certificates

Students can access their results via cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in. CBSE also made results available through DigiLocker, the UMANG app, and IVRS.

It sent DigiLocker credentials to students’ registered mobile numbers, enabling them to download digitally verified marksheets and certificates.

To check results, students need their roll number, admit card ID, school code, and date of birth.

A minimum of 33% in both theory and practical is required to pass, and the board may award grace marks in borderline cases.

CBSE will conduct supplementary exams for Classes 10 and 12 in the first or second week of July 2025. These will follow the same syllabus used for the main Board exams.

CBSE enforced strict examination rules, including dress codes for regular and private candidates and a list of prohibited items such as phones, Bluetooth devices, smartwatches, wallets, and unauthorised study material.
