The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday transferred the investigation into the rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata to the CBI.
Chief Justice TS Sivagnanam, heading a division bench, heard a plea from the trainee doctor’s parents, who requested a court-monitored investigation. Several other petitions also called for a CBI probe into the case.
