CBI Investigates Evidence Tampering In RG Kar Rape-Murder Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is intensifying its focus on evidence tampering in the rape-murder case of a doctor at RG Kar Medical College & Hospital in Kolkata. Officials believe that while a few people may have committed the crime, evidence tampering likely involved many more.

The CBI’s strategy revolves around uncovering proof of tampering to reveal the truth behind the case. A key piece of evidence is a viral video, allegedly showing close associates of former RG Kar principal Sandip Ghosh in the seminar hall shortly after authorities found the victim’s body on August 9. The body is not visible in the video.

While the Kolkata Police has claimed that after finding of the body the closing of only a portion of the seminar hall took place, the CBI disputes this. They argue that, according to protocol, the entire seminar hall should have been sealed off as a crime scene to prevent contamination.

Additionally, the CBI is investigating the recent circulation of fake letters on social media. These letters, purportedly from the CBI, have been spreading misinformation about the investigation in evidence tampering in the rape-murder case. The CBI suspects these fake letters intended to mislead the public and disrupt the probe.

To counter this, the CBI is working to trace the source of these false communications. They aim to uncover who is behind the misinformation campaign.

Investigators are analyzing calls made or received by Ghosh to determine if he shared any information or gave instructions related to the case.

Overall, the CBI’s focus remains on gathering concrete evidence and clarifying the sequence of events to uncover the truth behind the horrific crime.
