According to police sources, a step-by-step account of the plot to assassinate Karni Sena chief and Rajput leader Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi has been revealed for the first time. On December 5, as Gogamedi was at his Jaipur home with four guys, two of the men abruptly stood up from their chairs and shot him. The incident was captured on camera.
According to sources, Rajasthani criminal Rohit Godara, who is thought to be residing in Canada and is closely connected to the gangs led by Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar, who are suspected of being responsible for the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala last year, was the architect behind the operation to assassinate the Rajput leader.
According to accounts, Godara gave his deputy, Virendra Charan, the assignment to assassinate Gogamedi and hire a shooter.
While doing time in a rape case in Ajmer, Rajasthan, Charan and Godara crossed paths in a jail.

According to sources, Godara informed detectives that Gogamedi had played a key role in the rape case against him, and as retaliation, he intended to exact revenge.
Godara’s rage was quickly exploited by Charan, who then got him ready to slay Gogamedi.
Nitin Fauji, the second shooter, was sent in jail by Charan. According to accounts, Fauji wanted to relocate overseas, so he asked Charan for advise. Charan promised to help when the “job” was over.
Then, according to insiders, both gunmen decided to kill Gogamedi and stayed in close contact with Charan both before and after the killing.
Through his network, Charan was able to send the guns to both of the Jaipur gunmen. According to authorities, the two later buried the weapons close to a hotel in the city. The firearms are being recovered by the police.
