Parliament Budget Session: PM Modi’s Key Address In Lok Sabha LIVE

The Budget Session 2025 is in progress, with its first phase set to conclude on 13 February. After a break, both Houses will reconvene on 10 March, and the session is expected to conclude by 4 April.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the Motion of Thanks in the Lok Sabha. He is scheduled to reply in the Rajya Sabha on 6 February.

The session’s agenda includes 16 legislative items and three financial bills, notably the Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill 2024 and the Finance Bill 2025.

However, disruptions have occurred, particularly during Rahul Gandhi’s speech on Monday, when objections were raised over his remarks on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address.

The Opposition has also demanded a discussion on the recent Maha Kumbh stampede tragedy.

Meanwhile, BJP MPs have filed a notice for breach of parliamentary privilege against Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi.

Additionally, Congress whip Manickam Tagore has moved an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha, opposing the new UGC regulations on the appointment of Vice Chancellors and the hiring of contract teachers.
