BRICS Summit 2026: ‘Make In India, Innovate With India, Scale For The World,’ Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India has continued to expand rapidly even as uncertainty and instability affect economies across the world.

While speaking at the Leaders Session of the BRICS Business Forum in New Delhi, PM Modi positioned India as a dependable source of economic confidence during a period of global disruption.

India reinforced its economic standing. The country recorded 7.8 per cent GDP growth in the April–June quarter of the current financial year.

The latest expansion has allowed the country to retain its position as the world’s fastest-growing major economy.

“Today, when trade barriers are rising around the world, India is building economic bridges,” PM Modi stated.

The Prime Minister highlighted the country’s ambition to combine domestic manufacturing with innovation and global expansion. He encapsulated this approach through the message:

Make in India, Innovate with India, Scale for the World.

PM Modi said BRICS economies have expanded at almost twice the pace recorded by the rest of the world. He further noted that member countries are developing into significant centres for technological innovation and solutions to global challenges.

“New possibilities for innovation, spanning everything from grassroots initiatives to frontier technologies, are taking shape within our countries. The growing scale, speed, and optimism of BRICS are clearly evident among us. This forum, hosted in India, is the largest BRICS Business Forum to date,” PM Modi added.

The Prime Minister further stressed the grouping’s expanding role in driving innovation and addressing international challenges.

The Prime Minister called on BRICS members to transform their collective economic potential into practical initiatives with worldwide impact.

“Today, BRICS nations represent 50 per cent of the world’s population, 40 per cent of its GDP, and over 25 per cent of global trade. Moreover, while global GDP has grown approximately two-and-a-half-fold over these years, the combined GDP of BRICS nations has expanded nearly four-and-a-half-fold,” the Prime Minister added.
