PRAYAGRAJ: On Monday at last the Mafia Atiq Ahmed’s fourth son Ahjam and fifth son Aaban were released from juvenile home on the orders of CWC (Child Welfare Committee).
Ahzam and Aaban have been handed over to Atiq’s sister Shaheen.
After the Umesh Pal murder case in Prayagraj, Atiq Ahmed’s fourth son Ahjam was in the child protection home. He was not sent to jail because he was a minor at the time of the incident. However, on October 5, Ahjam became an adult. Along with Ahjam, Aaban was also in the child protection home. The doubt over Ahajam’s release remained intact till the last moment, but CWC decided to release him too. Atiq’s sister Shaheen had filed an application in the Supreme Court for the custody of both the children. This application is to be heard in the court on Tuesday, October 10. Child Welfare Committee has to file its reply in the Supreme Court tomorrow. The court had directed CWC to take a decision on the custody of the children.
Before filing the reply, both the children have been handed over to Atiq’s sister this evening. The custody was handed over in presence of ACP Dhoomanganj Varun Kumar and police station and SHO Dhoomanganj Rajesh Maurya .
It may be recalled that Ahjam Ahmed’s name also came up in the Umesh Pal murder case. Atiq’s lawyer Khan Saulat Hanif himself had admitted this in his statement. The one who created ID through FaceTime app on the mobile phones of all the shooters and Atiq-Ashraf was none other than Ehzam. Prayagraj Police had also included Ehzam’s name with the charge of conspiracy.
It is worth mentioning here that February 24 , Umesh Pal was murdered in Dhoomanganj area of Prayagraj by spraying bombs and bullets. After this, the bad days of Atiq and company started. Later, Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf, the main accused in the Umesh Pal murder case, were murdered by the attackers in police custody. Earlier, Atiq’s son Asad, who was absconding, was encountered by UP STF. Atiq’s wife Shaista Parveen is still absconding.
More than half a dozen teams including STF has been put on task to nab Shaista Praveen but cops are still hitting the bushes.
