Boom Of Fake Medicines In Market

PRAYAGRAJ: As the demand for medicines used in fever, dengue, and chicken guinea has increased at the other hand fake medicines have also covered the market. These medicines are being openly sold at medical stores in the name of immunity boosters and joint pain. As the fever subsides, cases of bone and joint pain are increasing.

The most surprising fact is that after patients after in taking the above-mentioned drugs, instead of getting relief from pain, people complain of rashes and swelling in their bodies.

The benefits of these medicines are being made viral on social media platforms. Due to this, people suffering from joint pain after a fever are taking this medicine in the hope of relief. It was told that this alleged fake medicine is being brought from Bihar-Bengal and is being sold in the name of Ayurveda and Homeopathy medicine at some places.

People are seen demanding this medicine in the city’s drug market, Leader Road. Due to social media and word-of-mouth promotion, this medicine is being sold rapidly. Consumption of this medicine causes swelling along with itching and rashes on the body. Drug dealers are selling this medicine without a doctor’s prescription.

Regarding this, Anil Dubey, President of the Chemist Druggist Association, says that it is wrong to buy and sell any such medicine without a license. If this is happening then action should be taken on it.

Meanwhile, Dr Deepak Seth, senior physician, says that any medicine should be taken only on the advice of a doctor, as consumption of the wrong medicine medicines has multiple side effects and the worst in renal failure.
