Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted the strong bond between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people as PM Modi received an enthusiastic welcome in Vadodara during his Gujarat visit.
In a post on X, Shah said the trust and commitment between PM Modi and the people had grown stronger over time. His remarks came as PM Modi visited Vadodara to inaugurate, dedicate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth more than ₹35,000 crore.

The programme at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda drew a large gathering, with people warmly welcoming PM Modi at the ‘NaMo 4 Viksit Bharat’ event.
The Prime Minister focused on Gujarat’s transport infrastructure, dedicating three WDFC sections covering 326 km and costing over ₹20,700 crore.
The routes complete the freight corridor network, boosting cargo movement, connectivity and logistics efficiency.
PM Modi flagged off freight services from four locations. He further flagged off a passenger train between Vadodara and Tanda Road and dedicated the Jobat-Tanda Road line, connecting remote and tribal areas of Alirajpur to the national rail network.
PM Modi laid the foundation for three railway projects covering 329 km and costing over ₹9,700 crore.
The programme included highway and Gujarat government projects worth ₹1,780 crore and ₹2,600 crore, respectively.
The Prime Minister linked the projects to his ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision, highlighting manufacturing, renewable energy, AI, skills and employment. More than 42,000 people reportedly joined the waiting list after event seats filled within an hour.
